Great service here! The wait staff is very attentive and very, very friendly here. The food came out very fast, and anytime we needed anything, someone was there to deliver. The food is great. Fresh and good quality. With a staff that cares like they do here, it's hard not to deliver great food. I always order the Ameican Kobe (perfect amount of fat ratio), spicy broth (the regular one is bland for my taste). Each order comes with a plate of assorted vegetables. You cook everything in the broth once it starts to boil. The meat just needs a ~15-20 seconds in the broth, and it's ready to eat! You get a choice of noodles or a bowl of rice to chow down the food with. You can also dip the cooked meat and / or vegetables in the sauces the meals come with. One is creamy and the other is a dark umami sauce, both are very good! You might need broth added after it boils for a while, or the heat turned down or up, the staff will help you if you ask. And like I said they're very friendly so it's not a problem!
Pretty good shabu style hot pot. It's not the best I ever had but it's still pretty good for what you get. Came here for lunch after hitting Kinokuniya Bookstore. We got the unlimited any meats with half seaweed broth and the tonkotsu broth. I love how you can see the meat being freshly shaven and the veggies come out fresh. I love the two sauces for the meat, I do not know what they were but both were delicious. Though we tried all the different meats, I think just getting the angus beef and pork is the best. They were the best tasting meats for me. The kobe and the lamb were just alright. I wished they had either lettuce or daikon sheets to eat the meat with. Very good service, they were attentive to the meats. The ramen noodles were a nice touch, but hard to fish out of the broth. The clear noodles were much more challenging. But love all the accoutrements provided. My only qualm was that we should have just gotten the tonkotsu broth because it tasted amazing. Located in a very busy shopping plaza. Parking can be a bit daunting, but eventually you will acquire a spot. A lot of different things to do before or after eating here. The space was very clean and the service was great. Great price for what you get. A very enjoyable experience and they do not rush you.
For the San Jose area, definitely one of the best Shabu restaurants in the area. Service is good and they serve Japan style shabu. Definitely my favorite in the area.
We were able to get seated in 10 minutes on Mother's Day. I got the beef plate and my friend got the pork plate. She requested several vegetables to be removed however when they served the veggie plate, they were still served so I assume the veggies plates were pre-assembled. We both got the seaweed soup and its very bland and almost flavorless. If you want a very simple "broth" then this is for you. I personally would get something else next time. The beef, vegetables, noodles and sauces were all yummy! It came with some side condiments that I completely disregarded. I also ordered my combo in the regular size which was a good call since by the end of it I was super stuffed. The waitress/server was friendly, polite and attentive. I would definitely return for another meal in the future!
We came here during dinner time and waited about 10 minutes for a table. We went for the AYCE shabu with the Angus beef meat only. Service: 10/10 The server who served us was very accommodating. We had originally chosen miso broth and seaweed broth but we realize the seaweed broth was just hot water and 2 small pieces of seaweed, so we asked the server to change that broth to Tonkatsu broth and she switched it immediately. We also asked for chili oil with extra peanut sauce and she also brought it out quickly. I also notice that as soon as we were done with oir meat, another plate would come quickly, which shows how attentive the workers were. Shabu: 10/10 We love the two broth! If I had to choose which one I like more, I would say the Miso broth would be my favorite! The angus beef was brought to us with a thin sliced cut. The meat quality was very juicy and you can tell it's fresh since you see them slice it in the middle of the restaurant. Putting the veggie bowl in the broth with the meat made the broth super rich in flavor. Overall, I would come back again when I'm craving hot pot. This is a great spot for casual dining.
We did the AYCE - where you have two options; either ALL meat or Angus Beef only. This comes with assortment vegetables or your choice, noodles, rice and dipping sauces - we could order 4 plates of meat at a time. We came on a Friday at 3 PM - a perfect time as there was only 1 other party. Service was amazing, really attentive and friendly. Broth is tasty - we got half half of Miso and Tonkatsu. Meat is also good quality, food marbling on the Kobe. Will definitely return - curious if the service is also good during the busy hours.
I love me a good AYCE and this is one my favorite when it comes to hotpot. The restaurant is located in a very busy plaza with a Mitsuwa in it so parking can be difficult but I never had too much problems parking myself. The inside has vents at each table to ensure proper ventilations but the establishment is always clean and it makes it lively. I love the fact that it has split pot so you can two brothes. I always do the spicy tonkatsu and regular miso as the brothes. I always shoot for the Kobe and Lamb. Yes all fatty stuff.. haha They cut their meats in super thin yet fat slices which I really do enjoy. The service is attentive and always make sure my water and brothes are filled. No complaints here. I would recommend this place if you are into good AYCE and love hotpot!
One of my favorite Shabu restaurants. It gets busy but I've never waited more than 5 min to get seated. They have ayce angus prime rib for $36, what a good deal. One plate is $24 so if you get 2 plates it's already worth it. No take out box for ayce. Veggies are always fresh and you can see them cut the meat in the middle of the restaurant. Comes with two sauces for the meat: peanut and ponzu. And of course rice. Cons of sitting in the middle booths is you can't control the temperature of the pot yourself, you have to ask them to adjust it for you. Tables on the sides you can control the temperature yourself which is super useful. Overall I come here at least once a month to satisfy my shabu cravings and their quality is always great, highly recommend!
I was with my brother and his family and we were trying to see what we can eat around. The wait was a bit longer at another restaurant but this place was open for us, so we decided to try this place. They offer a AYCE style or you can order a là carte. We opted for the latter since not all of us were super hungry. Each protein option comes with a full veggie plate and a choice of rice or noodles. I opted for noodles. The broth: The tonkotsu broth was really delicious and flavorful. It has the flavor of the bone still there and it was not too salty or overwhelming. I loved dunking my veggies and meat into this one. The other one we got was Miso and I will say this is not what I expected. It was still pretty good and a bit on the sour side, but I wouldn't call it miso when I think of that. Still, not bad. Kobe beef: This was absolutely delicious. I got the lean because I am not a huge fan of fatty meats. It was the perfect amount getting a large plate. The meat cooked rather fast and I truly enjoyed how it tasted in the soup. Overall, it was not a bad first experience. The waiter was pretty attentive and refilled our soup rather often. The atmosphere was also nice, since it felt rather "busy". Anyway, I can see myself coming back here again
